You've probably seen my first tutorial on how to draw a famous X-Men character, Colossus. As a second attempt I've picked a Psylocke character from Marvel series.

Step 1

First I chose a photo from the website www.photo-reference-for-comic-artists.com an image that recalls to my mind the character that I wanted to make. The laying of the original picture was very nice and I had no doubt that this was the right one!

Step 2

Then spend time to look at the picture and try to turn that image into the character that I figured I realise looking at the long picture, I found it beautiful, but I felt that something was missing in my illustration, and I knew I had to make changes to your picture by adding the legs. You can see in this passage a quick first draft in image B.

Step 3

The third stage, when I realised that as a whole the pose I like and it works, I begin to lay the base colors to get a first view, a quick sketch that can let me know if the color tones work and the 'effect of the costume, including boundary elements, in this case the end that the character takes on the dock, I decided to make it a dominant element, to give movement to the scene, and frame the image.

Step 4

The following are some pictures of the various steps of painting.

Step 5

First imposed the color tones in a fat using a wide soft brush and the famous color blocking. Then with a sponge brush to lightly speckled with a light opacity about 50% try to soften and blend the color tones, and finally use a sponge brush tip and set wet. The wet is very useful because it allows you to see the outlines that add up and gives effect very beautiful in my opinion.
